The climate of grasslands is usually pretty dry. It's between a forest and a desert, too dry to be a forest but enough rainfalls to be a desert.The average temperature ranges between 15 degrees to 25 degrees(celcius). The summers are hot, but the winters are cold and windy. They receive 10 to 30 inches of rain per year, which allows the grassland to grow only shorter grasses, not trees. There are grasslands all over the world,but they all are not too far from the equator, whichmeans they get a lot of light! Pretty much, they get 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night throughout the year.
